Red Meteor adds customer indications functionality to exchange platform
HOUSTON (June 11, 2001) – RedMeteor (redmeteor.com), a provider of Internet and voice brokerage services for physical crude oil and wholesale refined products, is to offer its customers the ability to provide price indications as well as firm bids and offers via its exchange.

The new functionality, which will be launched on Monday, is designed to allow Red Meteor's customers to post and change price indications, as well as firms, during the trading day. Customers also will be able to adjust the prices as the market moves or as their bids and offers are countered by other traders.

"Traders had expressed concerns about leaving firms exposed in fast moving markets -- this allows any trader to anonymously show the entire market what he wants to do and wait for a response," said Vincent Di Cosimo, CEO of RedMeteor.

According to Red Meteor, the introduction of the new service along with the company's right-click functionality, will allow users to post, counter and execute trades, or simply adjust their own positions on the site.

Red Meteor announced that its brokers will continue to provide full phone coverage and add firm prices and price indications to the site.
