Omnexus expands ERP connectivity with IQMS
ATLANTA (June 4, 2001) -- Omnexus (www.omnexus.com), an online hub for the plastics industry, has teamed with IQMS Software to enable all users of the IQMS EnterpriseIQ ERP system to link to Omnexus and its members.
IQMS (www.iqms.com) says that hundreds of plastics processors in the United States and Europe, representing more than $1.5 billion in annual raw material purchases, use its system. The new Omnexus/IQMS technology will allow processors to automatically transmit their order requirements to Omnexus member suppliers and to have suppliers' invoices electronically submitted directly back to the buyer's ERP system without human intervention.
"Buy-side integration has been described as one of the most costly yet crucial elements in realizing full B2B savings and benefits," said Peter Dunning, CEO of Omnexus. "Omnexus and IQMS have pioneered a new approach to integrate numerous procesors and their suppliers economically and efficiently. The result is true back-end connectivity between multiple suppliers and buyers." Randy Flamm, President of IQMS Software, said the technology developed with Omnexus can be applied across all repetitive manufacturing industries. "The winners in the new ERP and supply chain management market will be those who can deliver on promises to provide functional e-business capabilities to customers," he said. "With this new technology and our partnership with Omnexus, we provide the missing link in manufacturers' supply chain management."
