Nexant honored for ChemSystems Online consulting platform
LONDON (November 22, 2002) -- Nexant, which provides technology solutions and consulting services to energy and petrochemical firms, has received the British International Expertise Award for 2002 for its work in developing ChemSystems Online, a Web-based consultancy platform (www.chemsystemsonline.com).
The award, co-sponsored by The Times of London, was awarded to Nexant's UK subsidiary in the large consultant, non-visual category.

BCCB President, HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG, GCVO, presented the award to Nexant consultant Richard Sleep at ceremonies in London. Sleep led the Nexant development team responsible for designing, building, and marketing the ChemSystems Online engine, which simulates the entire global petrochemical industry. ChemSystems Online captures data for virtually every chemical plant in the world, every use of each product, and all market prices, allowing users to easily forecast consumption, production, supply/demand, and profitability.

Symyx Technologies and Kurt J. Lesker Company Enter into Instrument Licensing Agreement

Equistar Chemicals and Procter & Gamble Sign Licensing and Collaboration Agreement for New Catalyst Technology for Elastomers
HOUSTON, Sept. 17 Equistar Chemicals, LP, today announced it has signed a licensing and collaboration agreement with The Procter & Gamble Company to develop and commercialize a new metallocene catalyst technology that creates an elastomeric resin using propylene as a feedstock.
