New software modules generate HMIS reports from chemical inventory system
FAIRFIELD, California (November 18, 2002) -- ChemSW has introduced two new modules for its CISPro CIS Chemical Inventory System that can be used to meet Hazardous Material Inventory Statement (HMIS) reporting requirements.
The new software generates documents formatted to meet both International Fire Code (IFC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements. A new HMIS classification database also is available, providing values for more than 8,000 potentially hazardous chemicals.
Code specifications throughout the country are being consolidated, which ChemSW says is causing many companies to change the way they issue HMIS reports. Intensified enforcement efforts also are making report accuracy more crucial. "The forms that environmental health and safety personnel must complete are complex and voluminous, and accuracy is critical," said Pat Spink, Vice President of ChemSW. "The database from Integrated Engineering Services is the most comprehensive available and helps users compile the information for their reports. Access to this database and our formatted reporting, along with our regular updates on code changes, significantly streamline the production of accurate reports." ChemSW is a provider of chemical inventory management systems, MSDS systems and other chemistry laboratory software and services. For more information, visit www.chemsw.com.
