HAHT schedules chemical forum in September - Chemical Outlook - Independent industry news, analysis and business information for chemicals makers and users

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 5, 2001) -- HAHT, which develops software that enables private e-marketplaces, has scheduled the third in a series of quarterly conferences for September 13 in Wilmington, Delaware. The meeting will be hosted by Basell, a 50-50 joint venture between BASF and Shell.

"Our chemical industry customers know that they must sell value to be successful, and we know that we, too, must sell value to them," said Charles Clark, HAHT's Vice President of Global Solutions and a former VP of e-business at OxyChem. More than 40 representatives of more than a dozen companies, including Celanese Chemical, Occidental Chemical and Sigma Aldrich, attended the second forum, which was held in May in Houston and hosted by Chevron Phillips Chemical. Participants share best practices experiences from their own e-business initiatives.
