Genoa Corporation Extends Bulk Gas Supply Agreement with Praxair Semiconductor Materials
DANBURY, Conn.--Nov. 6, 2001--Praxair, Inc.announced today that Genoa Corp. has extended its contract with Praxair for the supply of their bulk semiconductor gases including liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen.
The 5-year extension also includes the installation of a new bulk liquid nitrogen system at Genoa's expanding manufacturing facility in Fremont, California. Praxair Semiconductor Materials currently supplies Genoa with bulk nitrogen and hydrogen, as well as gas delivery systems and other semiconductor process gases. The bulk gases are used in Genoa's epitaxial and other process reactors during the semiconductor wafer manufacturing process. "By upgrading the existing high-purity nitrogen system, Praxair will be providing Genoa with reliable and timely delivery of both nitrogen and hydrogen used in its critical manufacturing process," explained Frank Crespo, global vice president, Praxair Semiconductor Materials.
