LEHIGH VALLEY, Pennsylvania (November 5, 2001) - Air Products Polymers airproducts, has introduced an emulsions Web site for its customers worldwide.

According to Air Products Polymers, the site, located at airproducts.com/polymers, is designed to offer the company's customers and prospects instant access to detailed information on its line of emulsions marketed under the Airflex and Flexbond trademarks.

In addition, the new site includes all of the emulsion product data sheets in PDF format, as well as corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets. It also provides the recommended applications for products sold by Air Products into the Coatings Industry, and the sales specifications for those products. The site also contains technical bulletins and a technical newsstand, featuring recent press releases and literature on the use of VAE polymers in architectural coatings.

In addition, the site enables customers to gain transactional information through the company's APDirect portal. From the site, customers are able to order product samples, while U.S.-based customers can order product, check on the status of an existing order, track shipments and immediately obtain certificates of analysis for previously ordered products.

"This updated Web site will provide our customers and prospects with improved Web-based tools and information to facilitate the use of our products in solving their formulation challenges in a convenient, self-service manner," said Nick Mittica, Market Manager for Air Products' Emulsions Coatings Business. To the Editor,
As you rightly point out in your Oct 25 editorial entitled "Win/Win, Lose/Lose," the marketing spin and posturing of public marketplaces and consortia in the chemical industry are being tested by end users that want to maintain their competitive edge and receive a fast ROI.
To the Editor,
My views might not be considered neutral, with OxyChem's equity participation in Envera, but "Hub-to-Hub" connectivity was always in Envera's plans. As a founding Envera member and as an early adopter of B2B connectivity utilizing XML (in production since November 1999) OxyChem strongly endorses the need for "Hub-to-Hub" connectivity, both inter- and intra-Industry. Consider the real flywheel effects of connecting two hubs within the Chemical sector. In addition here are four thoughts on why this would be a positive step:
